Older Michelin Maps of the Sahara

There are several interesting earlier maps of the Sahara done by Michelin. The two samples below are taken from the 152 map called Sahara L'Epopée Leclerc and dated on the map itself 1954-55.

The first excerpt below shows the various animals that were hunted in the area. It also has a very attractive 3-D mountain reproduction

The second extract below from the same map shows the operations by Leclerc and other allied forces carried out in the Sahara during the 2nd World War.
